For today's class we will  be completing our unit on: Interjections, Conjunctions and Prepositions. We will complete up to page 54 in our books.

Library 8T:

In library class today, you will be working on an online tool that helps you with  Revising and Editing your work. Ms. Purvis will introduce you to the workshop and help you navigate through the exercises. Hopefully it will help improve your writing.

Novel Study 8P and 8T:

We are continuing to work in our booklets. We will be exploring the ideas of Fiction writing and the elements that make up a good story. There will be reproducibles for you to complete for homework. A reminder that you need to keep reading your novel study book. You should be close to 3/4 of the way through by now.

Sightlines:

 
Today we will be reading a story titled: "Day of the Butterfly". It is located on pages 111-122 in the text. You will be working in partners in class on questions pertaining to the story. Take a peek at the story before class and let me know what you think.

**Today both I and the girls of the volleyball team have an away game at Linden. Therefore, there will be a revised schedule for today. I will post the regular schedule on the blog for now.

Library/ Writing:

Today's library class is cancelled due to a revised schedule. In its place is a Writing class. We will be continuing our Writing unit. We will develop on our Brainstorming from last week. Today we will focus on Mapping and Clustering our ideas in preparation for the Rough Draft next week.
