Happy Thanksgiving Grade Eight......

This week is a shortened by both Thanksgiving Monday and Wanakita. Therefore, I only have one blog for Tuesday.

Tuesday October 9th

Library 8P:

We start off our day with a trip to the library to learn "Powtoon". This is a fun, interactive site that allows you to create indtructional videos-like the video we saw with I-Cloud or Google Drive. Ms. Purvis will be introducing you to this new tool and you will have an opportunity to create a video of your own. I hope you like it! Check out the website if you want to take a look.

Creative Writing 8P and 8T

Our topic this week is on poverty; specifically, global poverty. Some questions we will be exploring are:

• Why is a large part of the world living in poverty?
• What can wealthier nations like Canada be doing to help the issue?
• What can you as an individual do to make a difference?
